OneFilter

Quickly find your families in Revit models. Search by category, parameter name and value. Find elements within Areas, Masses, Rooms, Spaces, and Zones.

Filter

The Filter is the first tab of OneFilter, and this tool allows you yo create filter categories and create conditions to refine the filter. Moreover, you can also manage the views and create new one based on filters applied. Let’s get started:

  1. The first step is to select whether you want to apply filters based on the Whole Model, the Active View or the Current Selection. Select the radio button to choose the view.

  1. Now, use the checkboxes to select the categories to filter. Note that, once you have selected the categories, on the right table will show the existing families, with the category, family name, type name, in-place and count columns.

The search box will search for elements contained in the filtered elements table.

  1. To refine the filter, in Filter choose a condition to apply the filter to.
  • In the Parameter Type, select whether you want to search by Instance, Type or both parameters.
  • The second fild Filter By Value, select the property to search for.
  • Now choose the condition to apply the filter: equals, does not equal, contains, does not contain, begin with, does not begin with, does not end with or ends with.
  • In the search bar, enter the value to search for. If you prefer, press the right arrow on your keyboard and a drop-down menu will open with the existing values.

Filter

Click Filter to apply the filter to the table on the right.

Clear

Click on the Clear button to reset the filter condition.

Export

Export to Excel

Click on the Export list and select the Export to Excel option.

Export to Google Drive

Click on the Export list and select the Export to Google Drive option.

Export IDs to CSV

Click on the Export list and select the Export IDs to CSV option.

Update or duplicate view

Mark with checkbox elements that you want isolate with the Section Box. You have the ability to use existing or to duplicate 3D view. Visualize only filtered elements or all elements withi Section Box with ability to define offset form marked elements.

  • In the first list, select a view
  • Set an Offset buffer from the section bounding box
  • You can replace the selected view, or can select the Duplicate Selected View checkbox.
  • Rename the duplicate view.
  • Select the Isolate Selected Elements checkbox, to save the view with the isolated elements.
  • Click the Apply button to finish.

Save Selection

Click on Save Selection button, and enter the name of the selection to save it. Note that, if you go to the Manage menu in Revit and click on the Load button, the new selection you have created will appear.

Isolate Selection

The Isolate Selection button, will isolate the filtered elements in a Temporary Hide/Isolate view. Click on Unisolate Selection to restore the view.

Reset

The Reset button will clear all the filters applied on Filter tab.

Visualize

Click on Visualize button to navigate to the Visualize tab.

Select

Click on Select button to select the elements in the current view.
